Diemersfontein and The Excellence out of Africa Trust hosted their 6th Opera concert this weekend, featuring Filipa van Eck, , baritone Thesele Kamane with well - known tenor Given Nkosi. The programme was arranged by Prof Kamal Khan .(Professor of Opera at the University of Cape Town). The benefit concert was held on Saturday evening, and a well -attended master class was held on Sunday morning. The 19th century manor house echoed with the elegant song of a fine soprano, (Filipa) accompanied by the magnificent piano accompaniment of the highly acclaimed Prof. Khan who gave fascinating and amusing insights into the stories behind the music
